Screen Shots of Nenet v1.1
The following three screen shots were taken from Nenet when a map named
'Finland.cod' was used. The map represents 23-dimensional data measuring
distances beetween 65 different cities in Finland. Each screen shot is
associated with a short description of what the view contains.
 |
This screen shot shows a situation
where the 'Finland.cod' map file is trained and tested with a test
data containing part of the distance vectors used in map training.
On the left window in this picture the 'normal 2d' visualization method
is used to show the UMatrix representation of the distances between
adjanced neurons on the map. On the right window the 'Parameter Level'
visualization method is used to show relative distance from one of
the cities to other cities on the map. |
 |
The map is identical to the one in
the previous screen shot. The label display has been switched off
and the two visualization window show 'Interpolate 2D' and 'Histogram
3D' visualization methods. |
 |
The status bar at the bottom of the
screen has been switched off to maximize the visualization area. Also,
the toolbar and the map control bar have been taken to the left side
of the screen. Since the testing is still under way ('Testing...')
the gauge in the progress bar is active. The buttons on the map control
bar are active allowing the control of the testing process. |
Some Points to Notice:
- The map size in the screen shots is 30 x 30.
The freely available Nenet demonstration version
is only capable of processing maps with dimensions 6 x 6 or less.
- In addition to what the screen shots present
with just one map, it is also possible to open several maps and work
with them in a similar way.
- The appearance of the screen in Nenet may
not look the same as the screen shots here because of different environment
settings in Windows. The original screen resolution from where the screen
shots were taken was 800 x 600 pixels.
