Meaning of decimals

• You can drag the red marker

  of the red marker to position the blue markers
• Zoom setting:

Distance between markers

• The markers present the resolution you achieve with the selected decimal places precision.
• X metres at lateral degrees
• Y metres

Conclusion

• Five or six decimal places is the greatest precision that makes sense to set marker locations ever.
• Four is good for centering a detail map.
• Use three for pointing cities
• Two for states and countries. Well, maybe three for Monaco.
