The shock announcement came just before eugen was due to release their new cd-single Life (in the summertime), A Beautiful Morning. Bob Domino says that reason for him to quit is simple;

"We were going nowhere, there was no real passion or progression going on anymore, rest of the band had other activities outside the band and i felt that i needed to do something different, move on to next phase or another level or something...so i broke up the band. It was not an easy decision and i don´t know if it´s going to be final, in fact, i really hope that we could play together again someday, but right now i´m already recording new stuff on my own, which is quite different than i ever had done before, more experimental, more electronic and moody than i did with eugen. I´m really excited and happy about it".
