It all started out in 2003 Spring, when we all met in a school musical "Flai Hai". All of the original members played or acted in the musical and we decided to form a rock group after the musical. And so we did.
The line-up back then was Juuso Heljaste - guitar, Juho Ingström - guitar, Anna Eteläaho - keyboards, Tuomas Konttinen - vocals, Matti Erikkilä - drums and Henkka Kovanen - bass. After playing for a month or two, Henkka got bored and quit band. Anna then had to play the bass (she didn't really want to, although she's a hell of a bass player!) for a while until we found Mentor Osmani, or Metu, to play bass. So the current line-up was formed and we started to do music more seriously.
After training hard for many months and having a lot of long, sleepless nights, Broken Window had it's first show at a birthday party on the 17th of January 2004. We were supported by my girlfriend Aura Lyytikäinen (who appeared in the musical as a producer, writer, co-director and what-not... ;) and Serafiina Julkunen (who ALSO appeared in the musical - as an actor). The show went great and we even got a few offers to play more at some events! Now we're planning to get a demo out soon, so watch out!
Over and out.
