Welcome to my homepage! My homepage started as a simple personal portal site, which only had a few favourite links, but is has during the years grown to reflect my various interests.

The main sections and also the most frequently visited ones are my weather pages, my favourite collection of webcams, a photo gallery and an electronic card page. The site still includes a link page with sections related to my interests. The computer page describes my experiences in computers and the net during a time of more than 40 years.

I like the Finnish nature, forests, lakes, archipelago and enjoy walking in the woods, both in the outdoor recreation areas and in the forests near our home. One of my favourite places to enjoy nature and hiking is the Nuuksio lake uplands, a big part of which is located in our city Espoo.

I have always had a passion for maps of all kinds, which goes well with my outdoors activities. Earlier my maps were only paper maps, but nowadays I enjoy them as well on the computer screen or in my mobile phone. This interest has also extended to my homepage. My gallery photos include links to location maps and I have also created a separate page to show my photo hikes as tracks drawn on Google maps. In addition to that the "Maps" page contains a few other map applications, which I have programmed by using Google maps services.
