File mode Write current item to a DOS file. The selected item need not be a file; you can write a cluster or sector to a file, and vice versa. File mode is the safest mode for writing data. Cluster mode Write current item to a range of clusters, Sector mode sectors, or absolute sectors. NU prompts for Absolute sector mode the starting cluster or sector. See Caution. Caution! There are no safeguards for the last three modes. The data will be written into contiguous clusters or sectors, whether they are already in use or not! For example, if you write a cluster in sector mode, you will overwrite both the starting sector, and the following seven sectors (assuming 8-sector clusters).Partition Table Editor Help Each line of the Table represents one of the four possible partitions of a DOS hard disk. The System entry can have three values: ? Indicates a non-DOS partition DOS-12 DOS partition with a 12-bit FAT (DOS 2.0 and above) DOS-16 DOS partition with a 16-bit FAT (DOS 3.0 and above) Careful, now!
