The original big and ugly turn signals did not look right with the "streetfighter look". To add misery the original turn signals supplied with the bike here in Finland had much longer shank than many Bandits I had seen on British and US magazines. They looked downright hideous plus they prevented the use of my IXS soft saddlebags.
So something had to be done. I had seen pictures of some aftermarket rear panels with the turn signals integrated. I thought they looked good on the Bandit. Being the mingy bastard I thought the same can be done with less money. I noticed an early 90īs Ford Fiesta on my parking lot and the fender turn signals looked just right for the job. I did not steal them though but Bought a pair from local car accessory shop. Of course there was no way to make them fit without modifications to the panel. I made a pair of adapters from aluminum sheet which I glued to the panel.
