The gig at TVO's funeral party (RIP the legendary
university venue in our hometown) will be Boomhauer's last show. We
have decided to quit the band with no hard feelings and no regrets. We
had a great time while it lasted, the band played over 300 gigs,
operated for 12 years, recorded almost 100 songs, visited over 10
countries, travelled several 1000 kilometres and it was all MUCH more
we ever expected from music. Everything comes to end and now it was a
good time for the band to quit before things got ugly, tired and jaded
and before we lost our friendship or the good memories about the band.
So it's all good.
Sama suomeksi: Keikka legendaarisen TVO:n hautajaisissa 7.4. on
Boomhauerin viimeinen. Päätimme lopettaa bändin 12 vuoden ja reilun 300
keikan jälkeen tyytyväisinä. Päätös oli bändin yhteinen, ja tehtiin
ennen kuin bändi olisi väsynyt, riitautunut tai kyynistynyt. Boomhauer
tarjosi jäsenilleen enemmän kuin osattiin toivoakaan ja reppuun jäi
pelkästään hyviä muistoja - kivaa oli! Kiitos vaan kaikille, jotka
kannustivat vuosien varrella! Lippuja TVO:n keikalle voi ostaa
ennakkoon ainakin Turun Levykauppa ÄX:stä lauantaista 20.2. lähtien ja
lopunajan festivaalin omat sivut löytyvät täältä.
