Boomhauer - Lies About Women (Rhythm Barrel Records)
Boomhauers second part of their 7" trilogy is ready and it's called "Lies About Women". Their debut 7", "Gotta Hear The Music", was a total succees, so it's really hard to improve that. And I have to say, they couldn't do it this time, although this is a good record too. "New Jersey Out There" and "Pretty girl In The Audience" are relevant proofs of that. Boomhauer has an excellent attitude about everything they're doing, not too serius and not too constrained. Nowdays it's sometimes hard to find such a facile joy that they have. Well maybe "15.000.000$", goes little too far. But anyway when it comes from Turku it's gotta be good! 3/5

BOOMHAUER: Lies About Women (Rhythm Barrel)
Turun honchot ovat vaikean paikan edessä. Bändi liikkuu musiikillisesti niin kapealla alalla, että pidäkkeetön asenne ei voi kantaa tarpeeksi pitkälle, jos samaa ideaa toistetaan kyllästymiseen asti. Aika pelottavaa huomata, että ilmiö on havaittavissa jo trion toisella seiskatuumaisella. Oma osansa on tietysti median edustajilla, jotka yrittävät lypsää bändin ilmiönä kuiviin ennen aikojaan. Toki Lies About Women on riemastuttava paketti garage rockia, näennäiskantria ja koheltamista. Pretty Girl In The Audience on simppeliydessään suorastaan nerokas. Biisit ovat tarpeeksi lyhyitä ja hommasta jää edelleen hyvä maku, mutta yhtyeen puolesta pelottaa. Tätä kamaa ei leipääntyneenä soiteta.
