No Dreams

I open my eyes
but all I see is darkness
I try to listen
but all I hear is the blood in my veins
I reach out my arm
but all I feel is emptiness
I cry out loud
but the void is silent

Numb outside
Empty inside
I have lost
my peace of mind

For how long shall I keep
prolonging my pitiful life?
For how long shall I keep
searching for my useless soul?
For how long?

I am dead to the world
Dead like all the others out there
No dreams left for me

Deep down inside
I know I'm still alive
But soon the sleep of death arrives
And I shall dream once again
